Speech Therapy

Our speech therapists support children and individuals working on communication, whether that means building language skills, improving articulation, or strengthening the social use of language. Some children are just finding their first words, while others are learning to organize their thoughts, follow conversations, or make themselves understood with more confidence. Wherever a person is starting from, we meet them there.

Goals are set collaboratively with each family and tracked closely over time, so progress is visible and the plan can flex as new strengths emerge. Sessions are warm and encouraging, and our therapists work in close step with the rest of our clinical staff in Sherman Oaks so speech goals connect naturally with everything else a child is working on.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy focuses on the everyday skills that support independence and comfort, including fine motor development, coordination, and sensory processing. These are the abilities behind holding a pencil, managing buttons and zippers, sitting comfortably at a table, or staying regulated in a busy environment, and they shape how a child moves through their day.

Every session is designed around the child's developmental stage and daily needs rather than a fixed checklist. Our occupational therapists build on what a child already does well, introduce new challenges gently, and often weave movement and sensory tools directly into the work so that growth feels like play. Progress is shared with families so the same supportive strategies can carry over at home and at school.

Art Therapy

Art therapy offers a creative, expressive outlet for processing feelings and experiences that can be difficult to put into words. Through drawing, painting, and other hands on materials, children and individuals can explore what they are carrying at a pace that feels safe, often arriving at insight and relief that talking alone might not reach.

This approach is especially helpful for children and individuals who benefit from a more visual or hands on way of working, including those who feel put on the spot by direct conversation. Our art therapists in Sherman Oaks hold the process with warmth and without judgment, following the child's lead and helping caregivers understand what the work is revealing so the whole family can support it.
